PLAISIR® glass products acquired by The Weezel
Böblingen, April 1st, 2022. PLAISIR® glass brand products, one of the leading German glassblowers for smoking paraphernalia, laboratory supplies and handicrafts, is taking over The Weezel. With the takeover, PLAISIR is further expanding its end customer business and will become Deutschland's only 360° smoking supplies brand. The "Weezel" brand will be split up. "Weezel CBD Vertrieb" will remain an independent company. Fabian Koßmehl, the founder of Weezel, is moving to PLAISIR as part of this process. There he will take over the management of design and marketing as CMO.
Daniel Reiß, managing partner of PLAISIR, says of the merger of the two companies: "With the legalization of cannabis, a completely new market will open up. The focus on end-customer sales and direct marketing will secure us a top position in this future market." Reiß also sees many advantages in the existing business: "By expanding our product range, we can build a completely new brand world for our business customers."
"After years of successful cooperation, this was the logical next step. By merging our businesses and focusing on the end customer business, we will suddenly become Deutschland's only 360° brand in the tuxedo sector. We can now further strengthen Weezel's core competence in an in-house glass factory," said Fabian Koßmehl about the merger.
New brand identity of graffiti artist DMARK
"The origins of both companies are already clearly visible in the new logo. Based on the well-known PLAISIR logo, we chose a serif-heavy font. The Weezel influence comes through in the bright colors and the graffiti style. For the first collection, we deliberately worked with one of the best German graffiti font artists: DMARK."
