Weezel Collision: Hombre

Pablo Fontagnier, better known to most people as a street artist HOMBRE, is literally responsible for the first Weezel Collision. We introduce him to you.

Every city that is full of graffiti shows me that there is a lively youth culture that wants to make a decision. She says: Hey, I live here, I want to paint my wall myself!

How it all started

As a child, Hombre began to smear its changing names on Mannheim's walls. In his youth he discovered his passion for drawing and painting more complex figures. At first it was only his exercise books that noticed something of his new hobby. But the hobby quickly turned into a true passion and attitude to life that characterizes Hombre in his work to this day.

Graffiti offered him the space in which he could fully develop. This quality accompanies him to this day. His art is inspired by life, everyday life, music, films and the people around him. You can feel and see this authenticity in his drawings. Love and dedication down to the smallest detail. Not an imposed style, but a manual skill that has been acquired in practice over many years. Fascination for details

Hombre's Mural Art clearly reflects the approaches of the comic heroes and cartoons of his childhood. This paired with graffiti icons such as can2, Atom and Mode 2 resulted in his very own, world-famous style. This not only led to attention and live shows, but also to exhibitions all over the world: Shanghai, Pamplona, Berlin, Moscow, Jakarta and many other cities.

I live in this world, we all do. And accordingly everyone should have the right to a certain extent to help shape this. And if he does it even though he has no right: He has my vote.

Pablo knows no boundaries and does it like with Pokemon: he gets them all. His vision is still the same as it was in the working-class city of Mannheim in the early 90s: to bring color into gray.
